I’m not the first to wonder if the whole world has gone mad!  Saudi Arabia was set to beat a woman for driving (yep, you read that right) and Iran is fixing to execute a Christian pastor because he will not recant his faith.  PETA says that people who are attacked by sharks deserve it (payback?) and a survey in Jerusalem says that a majority of Palestinians who live there would prefer Israeli citizenship.

In the US, the government has been robbing the post office to the extent that the current Postmaster General can only drive it into the ground further.  Buried in Obamacare is a provision that allows the government access to your private medical records, and one politician has suggested that elections should be postponed so congress can get some work done.

Here in San Juan County, they want to change from telling you what you can’t do on your own, highly taxed property, to telling you what you can do then hire and enforcement thug to charge you for anything that doesn’t appear on the list.  Not to mention that most every property on Orcas Island is either wetlands proper or a wetlands ‘buffer’ zone, at least according to the ‘proposed’ map on the San Juan County web site.
